Relationships Australia Victoria is pleased to release an updated edition of its Safe from Violence booklet.
The new version has been written to meet the evolving needs of Relationships Australia clients, victim-survivors and the wider community, and includes current, practical guidance to help victim-survivors stay safe and understand their options when separating or leaving a relationship. The enhanced content covers key areas like technology safety, available support services including The Orange Door, and access to financial assistance.
Importantly, the updated booklet reflects a growing focus on children and young people affected by family violence. It acknowledges their unique needs—whether as victim-survivors, those who witness violence, or those who perpetrate violence—and provides information on services specifically designed for their support.
The updates to the booklet are designed to respond to diverse and changing needs and to enhance the accessibility and relevance of Safe from Violence to women and families facing family violence.
A digital copy of the booklet is now available here. Printed copies will be available in the near future. More information can be found here.
