16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

This global campaign begins annually on the International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November and runs until Human Rights Day, on 10 December. Respect Victoria leads the campaign in our state and you can find lots of great resources here on their website.

For each of the 16 days, we’ll be sharing a family violence-related resource on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages. We invite you to check in regularly for updates and share these resources with your networks. You can also follow #RespectIs, #16DaysOfActivism and #CallItOut on social media to see what other organisations are sharing, to mark the campaign.

Safe Steps Walk Against Family Violence

The Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre invites you to join Victorians on Thursday 25 November, to raise awareness about violence against women and walk in solidarity with victim-survivors of family violence. Join a walk in your local area or ‘walk from home’ and share your photos and posts on social media using the hashtags #WAFV, #WAVF2021 and #whywewalk.
