The GROW Coaching Model

The GROW model of coaching offers a practical framework for working with clients or others with two powerful outcomes - increasing the level of awareness and increasing the level of perceived responsibility.


In this pre-recorded webinar, Simon Goode outlines the differences between coaching and other modalities of intervention, then describes the practical steps involved in applying the GROW model.

He also covers a number of scenarios and examples specific to FDR and describes possible responses that could be used in either a funded or private practice setting.

This webinar recording examines:

  • understanding the differences between coaching and other interventions that can be used in FDR practice
  • understanding the GROW model of coaching and how it can be applied

About the presenter

Simon Goode has worked in the post-separation space in the Parenting Orders Program, working with parents and children from court-ordered families. He has also worked as a practitioner in a number of funded services, as manager of the Newcastle FRC, and Manager of the Relationships Australia Mediation Service with RANSW, then also as Program Leader for mediation and FDR programs with Relationships Australia Victoria.

These days, Simon focusses on FDR and workplace mediation in private practice, as well as providing clinical supervision and business coaching for FDRPs wanting to set up and grow their own businesses.
